Baby Watch

There is still no gorgeous baby girl. Little sis is showing no signs of labor. My goddaughter is just being stubborn.....like her mama! haha

Little sis and I have done more walking in the last 5 days than we have done in our entire lifetimes! We've been hanging out together. I have accumulated a lot of vacation time that I haven't used. So I'm using it up! I told Little sis' man that he should save his until little sis goes into labor. That way they get more family time. Good idea, huh?

Since Thursday, little sis has also ate more spicy food than anyone else I know. Nothing is helping. Dad took little sis and me to little sis' appointment today. The doctor was reading off all the things that little sis should do to promote labor. She was thoroughly embarrassed when the doctor told her to go home and have more sex. Dad and I laughed. She hide her red face.

As soon as we were out the door.....Dad called little sis' man to tell him to take the rest of the day off. "Son, you need to have sex with my daughter right now. That's the only way we are going to have a baby!" Little sis was dying of embarrassment. I could only imagine what little sis' man was feeling. I was just laughing. So hard that I thought I would pee my pants. Dad was serious!

There is still no baby. Bags are packed and we are just left to wait until this little miss decides to make her appearance. Until then, I think little sis should have more sex! It was like a doctor's order. Anything to have this gorgeous baby! :)

Sephora Grand Opening

Today was Sephora's Grand Opening in Burque! Could a girl be more excited? No she couldn't! Lols happened to be in town and all of us gal pals decided to make it a day. We started with breakfast at Charrito's. A favorite of all of ours! We all managed to get the day off. It was a complete Girl's Day out! I have been waiting years for Sephora to open up a store here. For years, we had no good makeup stores anywhere!

Since I first heard about the opening of Sephora, I started saving. Saving lots of money. And today peeps, I spent a lot of money. A lot! Everything that had been on my wish list for a while was bought. This girl could not be any happier! Jas is now worried that there is a store like Sephora across town. Honey, I promise to only shop there once a week!

No, really, I had a good time. It was a once in a lifetime kind of a splurge! I probably won't be back for a while. But the day was amazing! After shopping for 3 hours.....yes 3 hours.....we went to the Macaroni Grill for lunch. High carbs, lots of women, and tons of makeup. A perfect time!

We ended up back at Sam's house. We just had to play with our new makeup! I still can't believe how much we all bought. But it was a fun day! Now I am happy at home, makeup in it's place, and so excited for tomorrow morning! Play time!!! :)

Our Guy Did It!!!

Dale Jr. broke his 76 race winless streak and won the Lifelock 400 today!!! Jr Nation.....we all knew he could do it! It was the most amazing thing ever!

He crossed the finish line on fumes. But he was first and that is all that counts! Jr radioed his crew to let them know he was out of gas as he won the race. They were more than happy to push him to Victory Lane!

He was showered as he got out of the AMP #88!

Our boy did it! Jr Nation had the faith that he could get it done. I don' t care that it was a fuel mileage win. Peeps it was a win! I still cannot get over how excited he is! Jas thought I was a nut as I sat and watched the last 10 laps or so. Then danced around as he crossed the start-finish. But I am a proud Jr fan! Through it all......no matter what happens Jr will be my #1 driver. Congrats on your win! :)

Friday Fill-in

1. For me our white walls are the opposite of creativity.
2. Crazy Ladies was the last excellent book I read. (Thanks Littlebit.....it was hilarious!)
3. I like fill-ins because they make me think differently.
4. In nature I like looking at water and birds.
5. John McCain should win the US elections.
6. The last time I laughed with all my belly was Wed when I had lunch with my big bro. (Great!)
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to taking a long bath, tomorrow my plans include looking for dresses and Sunday, I want to eat at Charritos!

It has been a LONG week! Glad it's almost over. But lunch with the Big Bro was WAY TO MUCH FUN! No, it was! :)

We're Moving!!!

Today is the day we start moving! Jas and I are really excited. We have been packing for 3 days now! And we hope to be totally moved into our new house by Sunday. Lots of family and friends are going to help the 2 of us move tomorrow. But we took today and Monday off. We are starting early.

It really shouldn't be that bad. We aren't moving terribly far. And we aren't taking much of our furniture. Jas and I decided to either give it away.....and sell some of it. We sold 2 large pieces. Most of the other stuff got split between my little sis, my cousin, and his little sis. It is nice to pass our "hand-me-down" furniture to the next souls.

Today is all about the doggies. We are moving 4 dogs and need to prepthe house and the yard. I'm guessing they will be in the new house by dinner time. My dad and pop (Jas' dad) built us 2 large dog houses for the yard. We have a good fence in the back. But we are going to make a smaller area for the dogs. You know, for when people come over to visit. We also have to put in some doggie doors! Let's see how handy I can be.

Peeps I got to go! Jas is ready for breakfast. We are going to Denny's. Then on to our house!!! We got to make it safe for our babies and our first night in "Our House!" :)

I'm Going to be an Auntie Again

We had a family dinner at my parents' house tonight. It was something that I have been looking forward to it. This week has been a little frustrating to say the least. My mom's food is to die for! I've missed seeing my big bro and little sis.....and my niece and nephew! So I was pumped! Jas was also happy. My big bro and Jas were all into some video game.

After dinner.....hamburgers, potato salad, salads, hotdogs, chips and dip, BBQ beans, etc.....we sat around my parents' backyard. The kids were running around with the dogs and the adults were stuffed! My mom brings out fruit salad and chocolate cake. Just as everyone gets comfy with their dessert.....my little sis and her man had an announcement. My little sis is 4 months preggers! Yay!!!

Jas and I had been talking about this last week. My little sis is usually slim and trim. She had packed on a few pounds. I had even asked Jas if her boobies were looking bigger. He said he hadn't noticed. But we were kinda thinking she was preggers. We were just waiting for the confirmation.

Everyone is so excited. My mom dropped her chocolate cake all over the ground. But we were all cheers and laughter. I am so excited for another little one running around. The kicker to all of this.....my little sis is due on Halloween! How funny is that? But we are all excited! And I can't wait to meet the new baby! :)

Friday Fill-in

1. On my laziest day I like to stay in my pjs all day, order in pizza, and watch movies in bed!
2. A pile of completed folders on my desk makes me feel like I'm being productive.
3. I love little dogs and big diamond rings. (I LOVE my engagement ring!)
4. This summer I want to get in shape. (I need to for the wedding!)
5. Littlebit's cute as crap blog made me start my blog. :)
6. Red roses and orange juice. (Reminds me of breakfast in bed!)
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to date night with Jas, tomorrow my plans include shopping with sissy and Sunday, I want to eat cake!

Can't wait until shopping with sissy day on Saturday! Girl we are gonna shop til we drop. I got a list a mile long! :)

My Addiction to MAC

Since September 13, 2007 MAC has had a free standing store here. It was a fabulous day! Don't get me wrong, I like shopping at Dillard's. But this is a free standing MAC store! Peeps I luv the place! It is like a candy store for women. No lie! Now 8 months later, it pains me to pass by and not stop. But I am restraining. Jas and I have set our wedding date.....and we only have 11 months to save up. We also just got a house. MAC has pretty much been off limits for the last year. With a few exceptions.....

For the grand opening, my mom took me, my little sis, and my sis-in-law. Mom really spoiled us. It was dad's treat! She bought each one of us $250 worth of makeup and brushes!!! Thanks mom and dad! Why? I really don't know. But they did it. It was a gift for being dad's gals. Mom also bought herself the entire brush line and some makeup. Can you tell where I get it from? haha It's not like my parents are rich or anything. It was just a splurge for us girlies. Something that I know they had saved up for.

For Christmas, my sis and I decided to take each other shopping for our gifts. We treated each other to a couple of things at MAC. OK, so it was like buying our own makeup. But we had so much fun! My big bro even managed to buy me 3 lipglosses for Christmas. Luv ya bro!

Then Jas spoiled me with some MAC treats for Valentine's day! Yes, he did! That man is definitely a keeper! He got me 2 eyeshadow brushes that I have been wanting, 1 blush brush, 2 lipsticks, 2 lipglosses, 2 blushes, 3 eyeshadows and 4 pigments! I could not believe it! So much better than roses! I got him some new golf clubs that he wanted.

But I had still not really shopped for myself. MAC I luv you! But why can't I shop at your gorgeous store? I've only been there 2X's since it opened 8 months ago! I don't know.....but I hadn't been able to do some shopping for myself. And I was kinda sad about that. I love that I have gotten MAC as gifts, but I had not shopped for myself. Tonight peeps, my man did it again! After dinner, we took a small trip to Uptown. We were supposed to be looking for something for Jas. All of a sudden, we were in the beautiful MAC store.

I think Jas realized that the MAC store is really important to me. As important as his golf. We went in, and the man was amazing! He bought me 2 eyeshadow pallets, 3 eyeshadows (Brule, Naked Lunch, and Beauty Marked) 2 lipglosses (Underage and Viva Glam) and 1 blush (Dollface)! It was just fun to get to shop. To buy what I wanted because we could. I played and played and played some more. Then I happily left MAC with the beautiful black bag in one hand and Jas' hand in the other! :)

Officially A Graduate

It only took 10 years.....off and on for me to do it. But I graduated from college today! Yay! I got 2 degrees.....I got a BA in education and one in business. Isn't that a weird combination? What's next? I don't know! I really don't. I have been working at the bank part time since Moni had to take a leave. Her mom has been having heart trouble, and she has been staying home and at the hospital with her. I could stay there and move up. But I already decided to get my MBA. I don't exactly know what I am going to do. But it seems like a good move.

Tonight, Jason, my parents, lots of my family, his family, and friends all went out to dinner. We decided on Quarter's. I couldn't help myself! Grams really like the ribs too! We were all covered in BBQ sauce! It was nice to celebrate with my family and friends. This is really a good time for me and Jas too! It means we can really start building a good life for ourselves.

After dinner most of my family left. Jas and I stayed with lots of our friends and some family. We had some drinks and dessert. But we were mostly just goofy. Having a good time and enjoying some damn good company!

Jas just went to get my graduation present. He said it is hiding. I am really excited! Probably because he has been so happy for me. Jas is so supportive of everything I do. And I couldn't ask for a better man. He was so proud today at my graduation! :)

Friday Fill-in

I can't believe it is already the weekend! The week flew by. The best thing, I only have to work half a day! :)

Happy Mom's Day

It's Mother's Day! Happy day mom!!! My mom is the best. Really she is! I love her for everything she has every done for me. There are times when I wonder how I have made it through life. Then I remember my mom was there beside me.

When I was little, I wanted to be just like her. I would sit on the floor and watch her put her makeup on. I always wanted to put lipstick on! And once in a while, she would surprise me. I would get just a hint of pink lipstick. I thought I was so special. Especially when I got to play in her heels!

As I grew, it was more of the unnoticed things that I wanted to do. The way mom always makes a special breakfast on Saturday mornings. Or leaves little notes for dad in his truck. And the way she has always made me, big bro, and little sis feel so special.

I love my mom so much. I hope she realizes just how much I love her. I tell her all the time.....but I really mean it in the deepest part of my heart. Mom you are the best mom anyone in the world could dream of! :)

Cinco de Mayo!!!

Today is Cinco de Mayo!!! Not really an American holiday.....not really a Mexican holiday. But a fun holiday around Burque!

This past weekend Jas and I went to a few fiestas in Burque. Just to get into the mood of things. We ate way too much and danced to lots of great music. Tonight we decided to go to Garduno's for dinner. We are meeting Jas' brother and his wife, and my little sister and her boyfriend. Nothing too crazy! Just to share dinner and to have a few drinks. Maybe they will have mariachis too! I know it is a Monday, but I can hope! :)

My Blog!!!

Welcome to my blog. Don't know what I am going to write here. But I was motivated by Miss Littlebit's blog. I figured this would be a good place to write the mess floating thru my brain. Share it with people who want to know about my life. I can also manage to document planning a wedding. Jason and I are trying to come up with the date. MLB and NASCAR schedules are not helping with that. We want to get married in warm weather. I guess we just have to see what happens next. For now, we are just adjusting to our new house.
